After growing up in a small apartment outside of Chicago, working in healthcare, and nurturing a growing family, I not only discovered, but found the necessity in, an organized lifestyle. Combining my passions for clutter-free countertops and efficient-yet-stylish storage solutions, along with my “it takes a village” and “make it work for you” attitude, Organized Elements was born.
A learner at heart, I love a good lecture, book, or podcast about staying organized, saving time, parenting, and achieving (my definition 0f) joy in life. As a mother of three with a master’s degree in nursing and active membership in The National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals, my approach to organization and family time management is based on research and reality. I love guiding each family toward finding simplicity and order in their surroundings, helping make room for what truly matters.

- Before Organized Elements was born, I worked as a midwife in a busy Twin Cities hospital and loved every minute of it.
- My husband and I had 3 kids in 4 years, moved 6 times in 12 years, and I always seem to want another puppy!
- I have the word “Balance” tattooed on my wrist. It’s my Buzz Word for Life and I’m always striving to attain it.
- My bed is my happy place.
- I’m an introvert and often recharge by streaming a hockey game or old movie while randomly bouncing around online (in my bed, of course).
- I haven’t always been organized, my closet can get very messy, and usually keep our house tidy by telling myself that Oprah might stop by unexpectedly at any moment. (This method was much more effective when she still had her daily talk show!)
- I love a beach vacation, but hate the water. My kids think I’m weird, and I’m OK with that.
- I love a good chore chart, a well-made bed, my label maker, and Sharpie paint pens—just ask my kids!
